floweranzaThis is the AMV Rec Post, in which I dorkily recommend AMVs (generally located on YouTube) for our mutual nerdish benefit. It'll be updated whenever I find something else that's cool/well made/asskicking. Don't laugh at my seriousness about reccing these because I like them for a reason and SO.
Watch out for series spoilers.

Naruto
Naruto's World - This AMV is pretty unique, since it touches a lot more on emotional scenes rather than plain asskicking. An interesting view of the Team 7 dynamic.
Gone - The lyrics work really well in this one. Shinobi!life harshness, people dying or leaving, the usual.
Razor's Edge - Wow, um. Fantastic! There are things I don't like about it, which makes it even more fantastic. The song is Requiem for a Dream, which is appropriate, and it's an effective 'trailer' sort of thing for both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.
Byakugan at its Limits! - Neji-based and one of my favorite videos. I dunno, there's something really suitable for him about it and, though the lip synching isn't perfect, it doesn't really detract.
A Dance Off - One of those silly videos you watch for amusement. ...and that's all. It's pretty well-made. It has some fantastic twirly/hand/feet sequences.
Unhealthy Relationships - SasuNaru. Um, HAHAHA, a must-watch... even if you don't like SasuNaru, it's still pretty cute. And absolutely correct about everything. :P BREAK HIS FACE.
Naruto MGS - This is a great video, and I can't find anything bad about it. Don't worry about the mistranslations between the subs and the actual dialogue; it's not important. This is made to be a trailer.
Photograph - The song that's used for an AMV in every fandom. This one really works, though.
What Hurts The Most - SasuNaru. Oh my god saaaad. The song is well-chosen and, oh yeah, SAD.
Show Us The Way - Hahaha, I've been told this one's kind of addictive, and it really kinda is. The song is techno, and it's Magic Melody by DHT.
Naruto Comedians 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9 - Why is there no 8? Because I deem it so, and that one isn't part of the collection in any case. Anyway, these are BRILLIANT executions of great lip-synching. Basically, they put skits of various stand-up comedians to Naruto scenes, which creates good hilarity. Mature humour.
Real Ninjas - Well, since I threw this one to everyone, you better know it! [laugh] Because Real Ninjas have THEME SONGS.
Orochimaru's Young Mutant Criminal Association - The title doesn't do it justice. No. Really.
One Piece
Pirates - Squee! There is a serious shortage of good One Piece AMVs on YouTube, and this one's seriously awesome.
Life's Gonna Suck - HAHAH, this is the most adorable videos ever. Just watch it, because... it's pretty accurate. As Sanji says, you're inevitably gonna end up smoking crack.
Sail On - An amazing video which serves its purpose of showing the fact that One Piece isn't just some kiddy anime. It's so masterful that, even without downloading it full-quality, the mastery with which it was made is evident. The download can be found on animemusicvideos.org.
Usopp vs. Luffy - Well fuck me if this isn't the saddest video ever. It's done very well, and since there's a spoiler warning up there anyway - don't be shocked. Very effectively done.
