I like the crackiness of it, and the fact that people have been brought together by it and really enjoy it - but, like you, I don't really enjoy the anime (and story) aspect of it either.

Did you read Howl's Moving Castle? I read it this past year and thought it was so great--filling in a lot of information that the movie left out.

Oh man, the only way I can remember having watched the anime is if I've headed on over to Anime News Network and gone over the list they have there (which I haven't finished doing yet XD). I still hatechu for One Piece, btw! *hugs*
